ESPN has them both as 7s right now; CBS has St marys as a 7 and Gonzaga as an 8

So not looking good for being a 6 or better

I am assuming they will do one more poll before the Tourney, so there is a good chance we will go in ranked in at least one of these polls as many of the teams ahead of us will take a loss in their conference tournaments.

I would not think they would do one next week, but we'll see.

Selections occur Sunday. If any poll updated next week, it would not impact seeding.

I would tell them to please watch St. Mary's play and tell me they are not one of 20 best teams in the country. There isn't even a question frankly which is why it is crap in how they seed. I will say have a little faith and I expect St Mary's to be a 6 and I would not be surprised to see us on the other side. Don't want that but could definitely see it.

They're getting a bit punished for some bad early season losses like Weber State, Xavier, Missouri State and increasingly, Utah. Also, the bottom half of the their conference this year is pretty bad. They certainly pass the eye test but a 7 loss team from the WCC isn't likely to do better than a 6. Even Gonzaga needed to be as close to undefeated as possible (or actually undefeated that one season) in order to get to the 1 line.

As always when a selection committee is involved, especially where P5/P6 schools are included, I fully expect to get screwed. Win two or three games though and it'll be better next time, and the talking heads won't be saying how JMU is a team that "could possibly win a game" in the tournament.

Don't take too much stock in it yet. It has the wrong AJ Smith (a player from the Citadel and not the transfer from Southern Indiana), so assuming other errors in there too.

I don't know how anyone in their right mind could put this team anywhere in the rankings. What are they basing it on? This team doesn't even have enough players for a rotation let alone a sample size to get any resemblance of how they would work together with the brand new coaching staff and the production that may/may not follow it.
They should be NR at least until they have enough players to be considered a team.
And even then any ranking is a load of crap.
