With Houston and Navy tied in west and Temple winning the east.

But at least two of the 4 losses were by 20 or more points.

With a 3rd by 19 points.

And the heart breaker at Houston by 1.

Yes, and 9-4 is a very respectable record, but losing virtually all of your late season games in a row, dropping from #16 to not being ranked, and going 5-3 in conference isn't exactly a season for the ages. Perhaps one could say he won the games he should have and didn't where we were underdogs? Sound familiar?

Lashlee will get a look from Arkansas too.

Other name for the Arkansas job is Petrino II.

Not sure AR should have much desire to go back to SMU for a head coach anytime soon.

They should consider thinking outside the box & go get a triple option coach & try to steal a magical season in the SEC west that way. I don’t think they can recruit to the level of the top of the west & win it in a traditional manner.

He’s 15-8 overall and 11-3 in the AAC. The Mustangs is 8-2 this year and undefeated in conference play. They’ve only won 10 games once since the early 1980s and that was when Lashlee was an offensive coordinator on the Hilltop. His Arkansas roots should get him some buzz for the Razorbacks job, and his SEC ties could get him at the door at a place like Mississippi State.

Wow, he is looking at Miss St, Arl and aTm?

Hope he does a Fuente and we blow them out, I wonder if he has already accepted a job?

When did Fuente get “blown out” in 2015? Smh you never cease. Silverfield has the same record as Lashley. How come his name isn’t mentioned ?

Navy at homecoming 45-20, after starting season 8-0.

Including a win over #13 Ole Miss.

Lost 4 out of last 5 including a 21 point beat down by Auburn in bowl game.

I was at that miserable game on a dreary day in a dump of a once-proud stadium.

Talking it up with Auburn fans before and during the game. They were looking forward to watching Memphis because they had heard about us. And we ended up stinking it up.

They should have swallowed their pride and hired Norvell. That's the kind of offense it's going to take to get Arkansas out of the bottom half of SEC West. If they even play that division anymore after next year.

He didn’t coach the bowl game amigo. Plus Navy was really good that year. After a big win over Ole Miss the option gave us trouble. But he keep ignoring all the facts you are great at that. Funny how come you neglected to answer my other question.

It was one massive booster that did not want him and then convinced a few others to press Norvell repeatedly on the rumors floating around at the time to the point that Norvell finally walked out. The booster then got the guy he wanted, Chad Morris... Norvell thought he was coming in for a final meeting as more of a formality and got blindsided by the ongoing questions of the rumors.

That combined with the SEC. I think if you put them in the old Big 12 they would have been much more successful. OU and Texas were clearly the top dogs but Arkansas likely would have been tier right below, allowing them to be much more competitive year in and year out. Instead they have been in the SEC with Bama, LSU, Auburn, TN, Florida, etc. Then every year you have two or so teams from the SEC that have up years like Ole Piss, South Carolina, etc. So, instead of being a 2nd tier conference team they are a bottom tier team.

From what I recall there were rumors regarding him either messing around with a co-ed or gambling. I have heard both mentioned. Which surprised me because when I met him in a friendly situation he was all business.

You asked ONE question "When did Fuente get blown out in 2015?".

I answered that ONE question.

Now you want to add quantifiers to the question.

If you chose to read farther down the thread you would notice that i addressed the fact that all three conference losses were to teams that finished first in their division.

They recruit Texas and Louisiana well. True that you can't survive on Arkansas talent unless you get every one of the blue chippers. And they don't.
