Morgan hasn’t beat a D1 team yet, with their 2 wins coming over Penn State Wilkes Barre 100-52, and D2 Cheney.

The Bears have road losses at Arizona 122-59 and BYU 92-50. Another road loss to Fresno State, however, was a much more competitive game.

By the NET rankings, Radford was a much better team, but Morgan State played them fairly evenly.

Nice to see someone besides Cardet be leading scorer. He’ll always be the defenses primary focus, but having someone else out score him is really good. He’s the kind of guy that will get points, but someone else scoring more often doesn’t force him to do it the hard way because no one else can.

Noble Crawford continues to get more minutes and has become more productive. They need a guy like him. Since Bryce Johnson left, Corbet has been on his own too much. And the team needs the added depth desperately. Anything that can give people a rest without dropping off a shear cliff in ability and productivity… Can’t have 3 guys playing 36-38,minutes every game just because you can’t afford to take them out for just a few minutes.

Crawford did get a technical. Not sure what for. But he can really hit free throws, so that’s big plus. 7/8 in this game.

Speaking of free throws, Chicago shot 39 to Morgan’s 13. Sounds like Morgan just fouls instead of playing good D like CSU typically does. And they needed all those makes because they were terrible from 3 as usually. In defense, Chicago only had 11 total fouls for the entire game which is outstanding. That low of a total doesn’t happen often.

5 guys in double figures is a good step too, but it was a fairly high scoring game so it may not be a sign anyone made a big break through.

2 guys with 4 blocks each is unreal for a team this size. Not sure how they pulled that off.

This game is a good stepping stone. Toughest games than Morgan State are coming up after all.
