I know most lists don't have Bowling Green near the top, but I feel like they have done well in recruiting and working the portal. We'll see, of course.

Your transfer class look like there was a specific plan and the staff executed. Two nice receivers who have played on the big stage and an All MAC safety 04-chairshot , plus 2 other dbs. Does your QB return in 24?

Any insight as to why C.J. Brown left NIU?

We had two big departures. The biggest was DB Jalen Huskey, who was from Maryland and will now be playing at Maryland closer to home. That's a pretty big loss, i think. We also lost pass-catching RB phenom Ta'ron Keith to Western Kentucky. A lateral move like that is kind of strange; all I can figure is he figures he'll get more playing time there. Our coaches obviously aren't going to take reps away from Terion Stewart as long as he's healthy. He has a chance to be one of the best ever at Bowling Green.

As far as our QBs: Both will be back. If our offensive and defensive lines can get a bit stronger and better at pass protection and stopping the run, I like our chances next season.

I was surprised Brown left, but this is what I found on our message board. He's from Michigan with a girlfriend who goes to CMU and a brother who plays O-Line for Michigan State. He is graduating in December and wants to be closer to home. can't fault him for leaving. Sounds like gossip talk to me, but he got hurt early this year and his playing time was reduced and after game 6 he announced intentions to redshirt....Some feel he was slow, Im not sure about that.

BG is definitely on the UPSWING. BG,NIU and definitely UT have legitimate shots of winning the MAC next year. We are entirely dependent on QB production as that is our biggest unknown.

Quarterback play will be interesting for us as well. I'd like to think that with another year in our system and an improved line, Connor Bazelak could be very good. We'll see.
