I think it was his defensive speed that was the issue. Dude is late to the ball, out of position and picking up early fouls.

Very talented offensivelky imo but defense is the issue.

It gets down to someone posting something that is not true. I watched Penny's interview today and there was no indication whatsoever that Brown has left the team. The CA is also not saying Brown left the team. People in the know....seem to be contradicting that post about Brown.

Jordan Brown reminded me of some of the big stiffs from the past like Modibo Diarra or James "the Sheriff" Harris, or etc, etc

I never saw a hint of talent from the guy... looked like trash from the get go

Dude, come on. When he was a freshman at Arizona, he was named PAC-12 6th man of the year. Last year, he dominated the Sun Belt which is what you’d expect from a 5 star player.

Brown’s problem looks like he’s tired, out of shape and just doesn’t care anymore. He got to Memphis fat and lethargic and hasn’t improved since the Dominican Republic games. The guy has a world of talent, he just doesn’t care.

I thought he showed signs of having nice hands in the Missouri game but didn't show much D or rebounding. That seemed to be his high point, thereafter not much of anything good. But Penny's comments since this story broke seem strange too. I would think the HC would KNOW the status of a player on the team before the media. And if not, then Penny would be more truthful when talking to the media. Just weird.

Too slow for our offense and too soft on defense. I'm not sure why. Penny must have seen something about him that he liked that didn't pan out.
