RE: MAC has 3 teams with votes in the Final AP poll
Median 2024 G5 recruiting class per 24/7 sports:
1. AAC 155.93
2. SBC 149.47
3. MAC 148.29
4. MWC 137.19
5. CUSA 95.57
MAC is keeping up there pretty good considering AAC schools spend 10 million more on sports. CUSA is trailing the other G5 conferences by a wide margin.
P4 median recruiting class:
1. SEC 250.61
2. B1G 213
3. ACC 202.27
4. XII 194.89
B1G isn't up there yet to the SEC level but the days when they finish below the XII in the football standings are over.
XII's top recruiting classes are #22 Texas Tech, #31 TCU and #34 UCF. They don't have any blueblood programs.

Is "number of schools receiving any votes at all in the AP poll" actually a thing, or is it cherry picking? I observe that a hypothetical "CUSA Maximalist" would rank by total number of votes per conference:
CUSA: 139
AAC: 111
SBC: 62
MAC: 12
MWC: 10
The recruiting class rankings is more of a real thing. For players just outside the bubble for being recruited by big programs, the MAC may be a good conference to get seen playing as a freshmen and/or sophomore to try to make a move in the portal.

Getting Old and winning with leadership and learning the game at the G5 level may be gone. The bigger programs may start to recruit worse as the G5 does the developing for them, then they pay and pick off the top guns. I suppose taking upperclassmen from the FCS ranks is our new game for "ready" players.

That in of itself is another cherry pick because Toledo and Miami lost their bowl games while AFA and Wyoming won theirs.

MAC ranks dead last in this ranking. What’s it going to take to improve the status of our league?

Which Toledo team got votes, the one that included 6 All MAC players-an All American DB, MAC POY, and MAC Offensive POY or the one that played Wyoming in the Arizona Bowl?

Important to note that JMU, Liberty, and Troy all lost their bowls, and they were not really missing many people like Toledo or Miami(OH). SMU and Tulane also lost their bowls to 6-6 ACC teams. I'd say the strongest showing was Ohio of any G5 team, however, I don't think Ga Southern was very fierce competition. OU definitely deserved a better opponent after the season they had.

Who all was Toledo missing for the bowl game amongst the starters? QB, RB, and who else? I saw the game but missed the beginning so they might have listed them and I missed it.

Right off the top of my head, All-American Quinyon Mitchell, 1rst Team All MAC Vinny Sciury, Maxen Hook.

Backup QB, Backup RB, Backup left guard, backup Safety, Backup DT after Cullpepper played one series but beat cancer last month so decided not to push it, Backup corner... UT was outgained for the first time this season and going back thru the 2022 season a bit. Ya miss 6 ALL MAC players decently hard vs. a team playing in their coaches last game, and zero opt out starters... UT covered +4.5. The line opened Toledo -3 when only DQ and Sciurry were in the portal.
