Looks like we are getting Scott Power as DC. The article says LB coach, but I would assume he will be the DC as well. Seems to be a great hire.

I would prefer someone with FBS coordinator experience. Maybe get him acclimated to this level before giving him that level of responsibility. Hopefully Taylor learned his lesson with his first OC hire.

He was the DC last year at La Tech

First, if we got somebody with "FBS coordinator experience" here it's because they got fired (failed).

Second, if new DC hire is from LaTech - that's a pretty good level of football.

Third, trust in Taylor to build a good staff. Give him time.

Plenty of coaches have "failed" and had pretty good careers afterward...Bill Belichick, Nick Saban, etc.

He was on campus yesterday watching football activity at the Seelye Center. It should be official middle of next week is what I was told.

It's not a wrap yet. He's got the offer and he's back home talking to his family. WMU hoping for an answer quickly.
