Playing at GMU was a good home game for our NoVa crowd. We easily had 50%+ of the crowd there some years, likely would have this year too.

I'd like to see another home and away series with them, but it needs to be a straight up deal, not some 2-1 nonsense in their favor.

Agreed.
It was an easy game to travel to. I went there a few times.
We have proven that the A10's snubbing of us was asinine. After this season, I have a feeling we are going to on some more schedules next year.
And if we are on any of the A10, I hope we absolutely smash their face in without mercy.

I definitely do not think that will be the case, but hope I'm wrong.

Perhaps not next year, but if we continue to do what we do and they continue to struggle, it's only a matter of time.

If we show that we can consistently be a top 50-100 team if not better they will start scheduling us again. Those are exactly the games they need and want as they don't hurt you, but can really help.

As for the big boys they are way more likely to schedule mid majors that have shown they are consistently good. We are not there yet, but if we can continue the trend we will have those opportunities.

I believe the last few years we have been in kind of a scheduling limbo when it comes to opponents.
While we have improved, I'm not sure we had shown prior to this year that we had improved enough that we could be a quality opponent. As we've seen with the current system, a team can beat an opponent, but go down statistically.
We need to be a quality win/loss. A potential win against us would improve their schedule. A potential loss wouldn't hurt them in the long run.
Right now we are playing bad teams that probably see us as a win that would help them. But good teams aren't there yet.
The outcome of this season will have future implications on our schedule. If the season ended today, I think we'd be able to get some better opponents next year. We have a chance to not only end the season strong, but make significant progress in future scheduling. If we won the conference tourney and made a run in the NCAAT, I think there would be a lot more teams willing to put us on their schedule.
