NCAA has reevaluated its academic compliance requirements.
The NCAA has reevaluated its academic compliance requirements. Here are the key changes starting from the 2023-2024 academic year:

Standardized Testing: The NCAA will no longer require standardized testing as part of the eligibility criteria1. This change is now a permanent policy1.
Core Course Requirement: Student-athletes need to pass 16 approved NCAA Core Courses during their high school years1. The exact requirements vary slightly between Division 1 and Division 2 schools1.
Core Course GPA: The GPA will be calculated based on performance in core courses, not the entire high school transcript1.
Submission of Academic Records: Starting May 1, 2024, official academic records will be required and must be submitted via an approved channel for domestic or international students2.

This isn’t even the craziest thing going on this week.

SEC announced 741 million in revenue was split between schools - one more year on the current TV contract. Some of estimates are as high as an expected $1Billion a year in revenue to be split in 2026.

There was the ruling on paying students as employees - which caused it to snow in hell when the head of the NCAA actually made a relevant point: https://fortune.com/2024/02/24/ncaa-coll...interview/
