No! It it isn’t. He really hasn’t done nothing really. The Wiseman thing happened way before college. Mistakes happen with illegal visits in recruiting, or recruiting alone. Many and many of coaches has made recruiting mistakes, not just one. This scandal , I don’t think Penny knew about it, and was side swiped with the news.

It might be depending on how far this latest fiasco reaches.

The key may be what happens with the AD situation.

A new AD from outside the program and with no ties to the program could be more likely to pull the trigger on Penny.

He could leave here with his legacy mostly intact if he resigned "for the good of the university" he so dearly loves. The more the program descends into mediocrity the worse his image will be. Anyone who thinks this season has been anything other than an actual shitshow lacks objectivity. Take off those blue tinted glasses and see things how they are, now how you wish them to be.

I too wanted badly for Penny to be our saving grace. I would much prefer he have a successful career here than not. But that's not happening.

Don't see anyone hiring Veatch right now either, but you never know.

The AD hasn’t had any power here since Spook Murphy. It’s really time for some of you to realize that

Yet R C was made the villain in the concession stand incident.

This program lives on pins and needles

Since Dana Kirk there have been different Presidents, ADs, Academic advisors and coaches but we still find ourselves on probation or in the dog house in those times.

Why is that? Is there one common link, person, attitude or boosters that cause this to happen over and over again? Is it just the players? Lack of institutional control?

I mean it's to the point where our image may be not be repairable. If so, just become the next UNLV and go for it.

I think it is because we have a program good enough to make noise and draw eyes, but not good enough to get above the NCAA's bull****.

Or the opposite could happen and the new AD is told "don't mess with the basketball coach, he is one of our most famous and visible ambassadors," which would put us back into the situation where the basketball coach is more powerful than the AD.
