What a ******* you are! He's got a horde of people running at him full speed and you think he's trying to trip one of them? This was a complete abdication of responsibility at Wake. There was ZERO effort to control the crowd. It's inevitable that injuries can occur in this situation, both to the team that just lost and to the fans running onto the court.
Of course, if you're a fan of a school whose basketball team has NEVER been on the receiving end of a court storming, what would you know or care about the risks?
Why does an FSU fan want to comment on ACC basketball anyway? You want to leave both WFU and Duke behind ASAP.

He sticks his elbows out and leg. He saw the crowd approaching, he took a shot at them. Nice spin move though.
Court storming is kind of a tradition in big wins. Unfortunate that this event overshadows a big home court win for Wake.

They are down by 4 with less than 2 seconds left and there has been a time out. The coach looks around and sees the crowd of students building around the court. Retired guys in yellow tshirts aren't going to stop this from happening. The Duke coach can protect his players. Simply have the players in the game stand by the bench and toss the ball in. They step back and start walking to the locker room. The students get their celebration and no one gets hurt. It just takes some common sense and a little planning.

Maybe he thought his player would be fouled in the act of hitting a three...?
TBH, the fans were a little premature...

Even a middle school bench warmer knows not to foul with 2 seconds left and a 4 point lead.

IMO - the Duke player was walking to the sidelines to get out of the fray. The Wake fan was running wildly (making a taunting motion), when it appears that each others' knees collided. The players are allowed to be on the court, and should be allowed to leave. It's hard to defend the uncontrolled Wake fans in this incident.

It looks like a fan runs by and accidently hits his leg causing it to hyperextend.
It has been my observation over the last 45 years that if you want a cheap shot taken against you on the basketball court, just play WF or Duke and they will oblige. It goes back decades and I can't believe I am saying this but I just don't remember UNC cheap shots since Mitch Kupchec in the 70's and those were different times. Grayson Allen, Chris Paul, I could go on. Maybe it's the small private school thing. I thought Allen was gearing up to lay out the first WF fan for taunting and got caught up in that and the knees hit.
