RE: MBB @ Chinsack U In-game
It’s a win. The Dukes should have won by more but it doesn’t matter anyway. I think they have been I’m a hotel for 8 days now and will be happy to get home for a week of practice, rest, and prep for the tourney.
Byington just said he is tired and the team is tired.
I hope they find their beauty sleep before traveling to Pensacola.
What an amazing regular season record at 28-3. I don’t think this is the best team JMU has ever had, but they are good and they have taken full advantage of a very soft schedule.
The Dukes are in a great position with the double bye and need to sweep 3 games in 3 days. The table is set and I’m sure there will be white knuckle games at the tournament.

Sure hope the Dukes find a way to maintain decent sized leads going forward. Lately, they seem to have lapses or become complacent in the 2nd half when they have comfortable point margins. Great season and record, just hope these lulls don't come back to bite them in the arse. Put 'em away Dukes!

I think that was due to the level of competition, unfortunately. It's not great to be playing some of the worst teams going into the tournament. They could still win while losing focus and playing sloppy in spells. Hopefully they shake it off and clean it up for the tournament.

In the postgame, Byington talked about how tired they are right now which has led to losing leads the last few games. Hopefully the week off is exactly what the guys needed.

Man, what a pitiful little gym Coastal has. That whole school is just an overgrown community college.

RE: MBB @ Chinsack U In-game
Hard to get a read on how the Conference Tournament will be called by the refs. My first thought after watching the whole season was that they will let them play. Last night's game though had 4 fouls on both of our bigs and a couple of our guys w/ 3 fouls each. In fairness, CCU had their share of fouls too.
I wanted a blowout heading into the Tourney, but will give the team a pass. Sure, the evaporation of the big leads is a bit concerning, but 4 road games in a row is pretty brutal. Really my only concern after last nights game was how well CCU shot the ball.
FG: 52.9%
3 Pt FG: 37.5%
FTs: 84.2% (not that we can do anything about the percentage, just the amount of attempts)
I actually thought we'd inexplicably drop one of these last 4 road games, so any win is ultimately a positive. Let's tighten everything up, re-focus and get 'er done!

Yeah, that struck me, also. Or at least it looked pretty pathetic on TV, compared to much of the rest of the conference. That's gotta be a killer for recruiting.

Wow. Not good.
And to think they were a strong school in the old SB. Glad we weren't around for that fraudfest.

I mean, sure, it's clean, modern, and new. That's nice. it's also tiny, empty, and quiet.
I went there in November for the football game - they had some decent turnout, but the place really is just a big office park (it's mixed in with an office park, and it's impossible to tell which is the university and which is Horry County Business Center) and their fans think that because Conway has the traffic jam of a big city (everyone going to Myrtle Beach) they must be a big city themselves.

I like Coastal and want them to be good. It’s good for Sun Belt overall when they are performing well
