Edwards, Wooden and Bickerstaff had poor games. Thank goodness Friedel saved the day.

The refs were horrid. The blocking call on Friedel was especially bad, as was the 5th foul on Bickerstaff.

One game for all the marbles and JMU goes dancing with 31 Ws.

Great time for Noah to be getting hot. He was also 'da man in our regular season game against Ark St. (2/7). 19 points, 10 reebs, leading the team in both categories. Gonna' need some help tomorrow, though.

the weak end of year schedule didn't do us any favors, but we are in the finals. Hopefully this game got the kinks out and we roll tomorrow night!!

UGLY but effective win. That was nerve wracking after the Dukes had a 15 point lead with 2 minutes left in the first half then proceeded to crack under pressure the remainder of the game. The offense lacked poise with several panic breakdowns that let Texas State get back in the game. Hopefully all the careless play is out of their system after tonight.

It was more than a typical Sun Belt tackle basketball game and the Dukes were barely tough enough, but tough enough they were. That performance won’t cut it tomorrow night. Arkansas State finished 4th in the league and their offense is significantly better than Texas State. If the refs allow tackle basketball again, it will Almost certainly be a tight and ugly game where skill is diminished by rough play. Gotta fight through it to hold up the trophy tomorrow.

Confession…I was more nervous during that game than any game in many years. The Dukes were on the edge of losing to the #11 seed and missing out on the NCAA tournament despite a tremendous regular season.
Many beers are flowing tonight to offset the in-game jitters I had.

Bickerstaff had really improved his FT shooting the last month or so. All that progress seems to have been lost over the last two games.

Whenever this magical season comes to an end, it’ll be the result of another 59% to 63% performance from the charity stripe.

White balance? The picture quality is poor, it's like the screen is fogged up and/or you're watching some cheap adult movie on Cinemax, add in the announcers that aren't even in the same state and you got a FLO Sports level production, not major college sports trying to be taken seriously.

I was thinking exactly this when their guy picked up a foul and was whining to the ref while walking to the bench and the announcer was talking about him pleading his case as if it would make any difference. The call was made long ago, it was in the books and nothing was going to change, but the camera stayed on him forever. And if they did roll replays they were often something other than what you wanted to see, it was something off the ball and not the main play.

He seems to be pressing too hard at times and making matters worse. Perhaps he reflects on this performance and realizes he should come back for his final year, Turkey or Spain or whatever will still be there for him to have a career a year from now, but if he wants to play pro somewhere in the States he's going to need to clean some things up.

Everyone looks yellow and redheaded, anyone that knows anything about cameras knows it's a fairly simple fix and yet, here we are 24+ games into the two tournament with the same problem we started with. It looks like the lighting in Pensacola is garbage but they should be able to clean up some of this on the production side.
