Tony Pollard just signed with the Titans. I know some still hold a grudge, but I am excited.

Not sure why anyone would hold a grudge. Nashville won the bid for an NFL team and we lost. We got the Grizzlies which is more suited to Memphis.

Nashville never won ****.

They sabotaged the Memphis effort for an expansion team every time expansion came up.

Bud Adams looked the Memphis expansion leaders straight in the eye and said he was voting for Memphis in the expansion, but he lied through his teeth.

Then a couple years later he was looking for new home for the Oilers.

Does he contact Memphis?

No, he goes straight to Nashville.

All but suggesting that he had already been in talks with Nashville while lying about planning to vote for Memphis,

Bryce Huff also got a 3 year 51.1 million dollar deal with the Eagles. He is the highest paid non-QB undrafted free agent in history. Good for him.

I let myself get over it 4 years ago. I'll go to a Titans game, but I'll never be a Titans fan.

For those that have forgotten, Memphis tried to get an NFL team for 40 years. Each time we had a good offer and the NFL changed the rules to block us. League my ass, cartel.

F Nashville.
F the Titans.

We, as Tennessee taxpayers, are about to be on the hook for a SECOND NFL stadium in 25 years.

I don't know that this was a good team for Pollard to go to, they seem to be a trending downward and in rebuild mode.

Of course things can change quickly in the NFL but on paper this is not a team that is going to be in the playoff hunt next year.

The Cowboys let him go for a reason. I'm a huge Pollard fan but as we all know running backs have short careers, Tony's star may be descending at this point. I hope I'm wrong and he kills it with the Titans.

It is cool to have a U of M alum on a TN pro sports roster though. I'm not sure we've ever had a local player make a local pro sports team. Did Tyreke play for the Grizzlies?

Yes. There was also Lorenzen.

Age played a role but I think it had more to do with the price tag than declining skills. If his cap hit was significantly lower they problaby would have kept him around a couple more years.
