And, Gohlke transferred to Oakland from Hillsdale College, an institution of higher learning dedicated to the Constitution of the United States, authored by the namesake of our alma mater. Small world.

The price discrepancy between session 1 & 2 in Brooklyn is crazy. You can get in the door for ~$40 for the afternoon. Friday night it’s ~$200. Hope it’s packed with Dukes.

Institution of higher learning is a unique thing to call Hillsdale. Its the Liberty of Michigan.

Happy that kids like Gohlke can transfer out and get a proper education.

I wasn't trying to make a political statement, just that Hillsdale is a much-respected institution known for its constitutional curriculum and the fact that it rejects any and all government funding from both the state and federal government. Those are facts, not opinions. More facts....

Claiming that students need to transfer out of Hillsdale to get a "proper education" is obviously a personal opinion and counter to the facts. With a 21% acceptance rate (2023), ranked the #39 liberal arts college in the country (US News), SAT range of 1360 to 1520, ACT 30-34, average high school GPA of 3.92, and tuition north of $32,000, there are many experts and parents who disagree with your personal opinion that a Hillsdale education is not a "proper education"....

I just hope JMU makes a game of this. Hope it's not like our 16 seed team that was never in the game. Spending too much $ not to have at the very least a hard fought game.

04-cheers

I hear you. It is all going to depend on our outside shooting, IMO. The good news is that Wisconsin is not known to be great at defending the three, so we should get good looks. On the other hand, I'm sure the Badger coaches know that they must step up there defense beyond the arc. We have good shooters who need to keep moving to find an open spot, and crisp passing to get them the ball. No pump fake - catch, elevate, release.

RE: JMU MBB - the big dance
I meant to check last night but got tied up so this is skewed with game times starting shortly.

For the 12:15p games, mid court section 8 row 3 is $296 pre fees. (which is a steal / anomaly but still several groups of tickets for <$375 in lower level). Tons of seats in the 200 level for <$75.
For night session, lowest ticket is $221 for row 11 in 205 (corner). Section 8 row 4 is $1,829.

Important stuff ...CBS has been using the stacked logo AND Duke dog head only - is this the coronation of the JMU branding evolution? Looked pretty nice in the preview

Quick turnaround. Now 32-28, Heels, 2:40 left in the half. I definitely want MSU to win this.

Even if I wasn’t a lifelong UNC fan I don’t, H to the Izzo said schools like ours don’t belong in the tournament…

Tom Izzo can eat a bag of d!cks. He is the kind of self-perceived royalty that should be flushed from college basketball. Total loser!

RE: JMU MBB - the big dance
If you listen to the Bill Simmons podcast on Spotify/Apple Podcasts, with about 10-12 minutes remaining on the pod that dropped last night Ryen Russillo talks about his experience on Friday at all the Brooklyn tournament games. Bunch of praise for the tourney, the atmosphere during Wisconsin v JMU and a random story about our fans after the game.
