Conference play is upon us. Here is the schedule for the first week of conference play, as well as next week's midweek games.

Southern at Louisiana
Southern Illinois at Arkansas State
Southern Miss vs Ole Miss
Troy at UAB
UTSA at Texas State
Arkansas State at Southern Illinois
McNeese at Louisiana
West Virginia at Marshall

Do we have to play this weekend? UL is going to be mean to us.

JMU @ CCU is the series of the week. 2-1 CCU is my pick, and not a bad result for either. Obviously, losing 2 at home would be disastrous for CCU as would being swept on the road for JMU.

Lots of quality mid-week games to watch as well.

Due to rain expected Friday night and Sunday, the Georgia State @ South Alabama series has been adjusted the following way:
Friday’s game will now take place at 1:00 PM CT
Saturday will now have a double-header starting at 2:00 PM CT with the second game taking place 30 minutes after first game ends.

Some of these midweek matches are hotter than the hinges on the gates to Hell!

We're better than last year, but pitching is still rough around the edges. We just don't have a starter with a strikeout pitch, and teams are taking advantage.

We're significantly better at home in a large park where the BABIP gods are going to be far kinder to us, so hopefully that helps.

Coastal is on a 14 game winning streak. Go Chants.

How did the USM vs Ole Miss game not fit this?

South Alabama started early to avoid weather but are in a lightning delay currently nonetheless. South is up 3-0 but GSU has runners on 1st and third with no outs in the top of the 5th.

GASO got run ruled in Norfolk in 8 innings. 11-1 final

ODU run rules GS in game 1, 11-1.

Was not expecting that.

Blake Barthol is freaking unreal...two grand slams. Coastal run rules JMU in the 8th. 12-1.

Really competitive game until Coastal got into JMUs bullpen. Starters were lights out.
