MyBB Failure - Richmond U
Did you guys see how Richmond U is a failure in men’s basketball? Most people aren’t aware, so I wanted to make sure you were aware.

They are mostly the worst. And my least favorite. Could never pick them to win any contest. Would hesitate if I saw them drowning.

I know the Sunbelt overall isn't great for basketball, but a lot of the glimmer of the Atlantic 10 has worn off. They're not as impressive as they have been in years past, and I think Dayton is way overrated. Definitely a one bid league this year.

You might think Dayton is overrated, but they are a lock to get in meaning the A10 is a 2 bid league this year.

Glass houses and throwing stones and all that stuff....but... (from VCU's boards)

"The NET is no longer all that important since the only A10 team with a chance of an at-large is Dayton, but there are 9 A10 teams in the top 100 of the NET (Dayton, VCU, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Loyola, St. Joseph's, Duquesne, George Mason, and UMass). This is the most top 100 teams the A10 has ever had since the NET became a thing in the 2018-19 season."

There isn't a basketball fan here that wouldn't love the Sunbelt to have 9 teams in the top 100. That would likely give us an at-large even if we dropped a few of those games.

And it is clear why their NET is so good. The bottom of their league had winning OOC records. If we could only get the SBC bottom feeders to realize this, but they want their buy game money.

Yeah- I was noticing that after yesterdays quarter finals, the A-10 had 8 teams with 20 or more wins. Means they are taking care of business in their OOC portion of the schedule.

Bingo! Mettlen had a bunch of reporting around this in the past month.

If we could get the other SBC teams to schedule less buy games and play more winnable games at home, it would improve NET for the whole conference. That is the formula, and other conferences like A10 do it, but it requires the whole conference to sacrifice some revenue to get there.

The CFCS tournament makes this even better. #1 Sam Houston just lost to #5 UTEP (17-15), who beat Liberty last night. There’s a chance their NCAAT rep has a losing record. Big 15/16-seed energy 03-lmfao

This thread reminds me of the old saying, “you should never take pleasure in another man’s misfortune. Unless that man wears a sweater vest.”

I’m enjoying this Duquesne/VCU Atlantic-10 championship and VCU’s outstanding pep band. Wow they’re good. Ryan understands how to bring the right kind of music and energy to a basketball game.

Watching this game also reminds me of how bad Richmond is at everything. Weren’t they the 1-seed of this tournament? Losers.
