This league is embarrassing. Are there even 500 people there?

Wow. We could be playing a 16-19 Temple team for a bid. Rubs salt into the wound for sure

Seems like there's a lesson to be learned in there somewhere.

Just no fan bases that care enough about basketball to travel that far. The championship games between Memphis and Houston the last 2 years had some ok crowds. It’ll be friends, family and the Temple band tomorrow.

RE: AAC Conference Tournament Crowd
I thought I saw a 5500 number for the Memphis session
But looks like the aac quit reporting numbers
For the other sessions
It’s sad that the aac does not move this tournament

Now I am seeing 5545
Must be tickets sold
Not butts in seats
Landers would be more than enough

RE: AAC Conference Tournament Crowd
It's not in a good spot. I know they moved it there because the AAC moved their offices from the New England area to Dallas-FW (how ironic with SMU leaving), but still not in a good location.
The best place to move it to will be Tampa. You have USF and FAU and hope they can draw enough fans. The reason why I would say Tampa over Memphis because it'll attract more fans due to location and weather. Regardless, the AAC has horrible fan bases, which is killing the conference in perception.

You can’t kill something that’s already dead.

Yep but with UAB vs Temple it assures that 2 teams will get in from the AAC now.. FAU and the winner of the final.. I think the final just proves how weak this league really is..

You don't typically see teams with losing records playing for the conference title except in the lower level D1 leagues.
The AAC is what it is and it ain't much.

usually because the **** teams in power conferences play cupcake schedules. ACC has only 4 teams with losing records, Big 12 2, Big East 3, etc etc etc

RE: AAC Conference Tournament Crowd
If it were important to have good crowd attendance, the tourney would be at Landers. Tampa or any other location in this conference won't provide a good draw.

Those conferences are just better. You rarely (if ever)see a team with an overall losing record in one of those conferences playing for their auto bid while the trash conferences do have that happen.
Until this year that didn't happen in the AAC - now it has.
There are probably 8 SEC teams that would have won the AAC regular season title this year. Maybe more.

This is one of the dumbest responses I have ever, ever seen. It addresses nothing. Pulls out a meaningless stat - 8-2 lol against which teams? Good grief. Then goes grade school insult to top it off.

Last year we were legit. This year we sucked but had moments and had talent. Either way we beat
Missouri 0-18 in SEC
Arkansas 6-12 (4-12 vs teams not named Missouri)
Vandy 4-14 (3-14 vs non Missouri)
Texas A&M was a legit win and obviously our best ... but 3 of 4 wins against teams with a combined record of 10-44
