Wisconsin NCAA Dance Tickets Thread
I'm having to hit the open market.
What are others doing?
Wondering if tickets will go down a little if you wait.

I would go if I wasn't coaching at the FSU Relays this weekend. My stepson works for the Mets and lives in Brooklyn. Hope we get a decent crowd!

My only shot is to attend a second round game on Sunday. Hoping I might be able to find a semi-decent deal.

Good question on what happens with the ticket prices. We are planning to go on Friday. The prices were more than I was expecting. NYC has something to do with that as the other sites are less.
I don’t expect the Duke and Vermont fans to stick around for our game so I think buying upper level tickets and moving down is a good idea. That is what we did in 1994 at the JMU Florida game. The stadium was only about 1/3 full in the second half. Not sure what the crowd will be like by the second half of our game given it will be after 11.

Well damn, I did not think of that.
I got decent tickets in the lower portion.

I know others have reported different findings, but I've been to quite a few first and second round games, and have never seen the ones I've been to, overly crowded. The fourth quarter of the first game shows a good crowd due to people coming in for the second game. Likewise, the beginning of the second game has a good crowd, due to the first game fans wanting to see the beginning of the second game. The masses simply don't care to sit through an entire game where they don't really have a favorite they are pulling for.

Maybe my experience was an anomaly but all six games in Denver (4 2nd round games, 2 3rd round) last season were completely packed. There were no local teams and no "blue bloods" participating either...potentially that was an advantage to keep folks as there were no surly Kentucky or Kansas fans that got bounced and just decided they were over basketball for the weekend.

Demand is always much lower than you'd expect. However Friday evening with Duke, Vermont, Wisky in Brooklyn....should be more than most NCAA tourny events.

Excellent. In 13 towards bench. I paid $350. Ouch. If I wasn’t anxious, I would buy a nose bleed and try to move down after the Vermont/Duke game

Tix in the nosebleed seats start at $125. I would buy those and move down after the crowd gets settled.

Ticket prices should drop closer to gameday, right? I'm seeing cheapest options for 4 tix together around $270 each.

Just couldn't make the travel work for me this time, so tv it is.
Historical note... remember when the ncaa regional site locations used to sell those paper booklets with physical tear out tickets? Loved those things. We'd finish a couple games, go out to get some eats/drinks but beforehand, wait outside and sell a ticket or two (games we would miss) for beer/eats money. Ahhh... days of the ol flip phone.

Been awhile, but I seem to remember those for the CAA Tourney at the Richmond Mausoleum too. Sold the rest of Day 1 and the semis / finals outside the arena. Gave me some "drowning sorrows" $$$ after that inexplicable loss to Navy in the 1st round

The two first round losses that still has me befuddled. Navy in MBB and Colgate in FB.

logic tells me yes. But I bought like a sucker for FOMO.
Also curious how round 2 plays out should we advance to Sunday.

Yeah, I’m unable to do Friday night because of work Saturday morning, but I will not miss Sunday if we beat Wisconsin. Cost will not stop me. Hoping there’s a good way to find a cheaper Sunday ticket, but if not, I’ll suck it up and buy.
