FIU’s All-Conference (Third Team) Guard Arturo Dean is entering the portal. The former CUSA Freshman of the Year was arguably the Panthers best player averaging 14/5/4 on 41/31/64 shooting for the season while leading the nation in steals and earning an all-defense nod.

10 ppg on 45% shooting, solid contributor and scorer off the bench for the Flames. Assume LU is going to look much different next season.

Sure hope we look different next year. Starting two guards who were 5’9” and 5’10” plus living and dying by the three sure didn’t work out too well this year. Hate that we’re losing Brody. He should have been one of the starting guards in my opinion.

Yeah, unless there is a bunch of behind the scenes stuff going on at NMSU, hard to say. We just haven’t seen it yet. Getting any real recruiting news is hard to come by. We did have a point guard from Florida St. to visit and I’ve heard rumor of a player from Penn State. Other than that, it’s a ton of players that list 20 other programs as having “interest.” Not sure if we’ve landed anyone new or not.

Anyone who tries to contact a player in the portal counts as "shown interest". Very few have any real idea of what is actually going on and who are actual targets (I am not one of those few).

I am happy we seem to be returning the bulk of our team that has eligibility left. Jury still out on Allen and Newman, small chance they come back as well if they don't find pay days. Would still like a mobile big to round out the roster.
