When I mean bad drivers, I'm sitting at a stop light, my light turns green and someone blows through their red light... Or I'm on the interstate in the fast lane and the at the front of the line is holding up traffic cause they don't want to pass a semi or if there's 3 lanes and a person jumps all 3 lanes to get to an exit no matter if the other drivers in the other lanes have to slam on the brakes.

Just got back from a trip from Fla pulling a camping trailer. It's even worse when doing that! Lane hoppers, people that don't understand the words merge, or yield. My rig won't stop like a car and I've given up on the camping life. But it's drivers all over, there is no courtesy any more after the pandemic seems peopke lost thier friendly ways. I'll take the 'burg anyday compared to I-95, I-4, I-85 drivers.

This is a hilarious "swerve" of the topic...

Here in Chicago - crossing three lanes at once to barely reach an exit...seems to be what they teach these fools

You pulled a trailor through Jacksonville AND Charlotte? I don't envy that in the least. 04-cheers
Plus there is a whole generation of drivers out there that can't get their nose out of their phones long enough to drive from point A to point B. It's flat out scary now days, add in the "racers" that think it's smart to race weaving in and out of traffic (Looking at you Orlando and Nashville).

...and the tailgating is absolutely insane. 4 ft off of bumpers going 80+mph. Zero sympathy for those instigators when they (not the innocent) get hurt.

Drive thru WV next time. We can drive. And you know the accident is going to happen in advance as soon as you see the Ohio plate.

I figured as much.. I'd do the same. I do miss home this time of year.. At least I know the weather swings won't include snow in the 4 season days. Unless you count pollen as snow 03-lmfao

c'mon G .... I'm guessing you were a wee li'l laddy when it snowed on April fools day in the 'burg (I think the coast got a few flakes) ... that was irony at its finest ... it was sometime in the mid 90s ... had a Jeep Scrambler I put to good use that eve (in more ways you can imagine)...

@catLivesMatter

two separate thoughts come to mind... as someone that uses wheels to get around, I had to throw on my ski bibs to crawl out and play in the snow, so when I went looking for the end of our porch, because the snow was level, suddenly I sunk down to my elbows! Found it! :) Got a kick that my brother was up in Mo-hole and he put some pepsi on his window sill in a snow bank rather than in the fridge #redneckingenuity

Secondly, during another 'storm" (3-4 inches) one of my 'good ol' boy' friends and I took a friend of ours from AL out to the Walmart lot around 1am and did a few donuts.. she was not impressed 0 :)

You haven't experienced real fun until you sit in bumper to bumper traffic in Memphis because there's two dudes doing figure 8's in the middle of the freeway at 8am

I remember that well. The day before the blizzard I started at my first job, bagging groceries at a local grocery store in Winchester. The lines wrapped all the way around the store that evening, there was nothing left on the shelves (especially not milk, toilet paper, bread and beer). It was quite an introduction to employment.

I think there's bubbles everywhere within each state. Here in GA, I know that Cobb County the theoretical speed suddenly jumps to like 85-95 mph. In Middle GA, people are slow and they fully expect you'll get out of the way in time after pulling in front of you going 55. If I see a UGA bumper sticker, I immediately know they can't drive. If I see a "baby on board" sticker, then I immediately know they have an option to have better driver than the current one. Drivers from TN, FL..just..wth...

In Memphis the average speed is designated by which lane of highway you are in.

Lane 1: 55-65 Mph in a 70
Lane 2: 65-80 MPH in a 70
Left Lane: 85-110 MPH in a 70

The right lane is almost entirely 18 wheelers and the overly cautious drivers. The middle lane is the in-between, who drive faster, but aren't certifiably insane.

The left lane...well, there are no rules in that lane. Things go perfectly until people decide to leave their designated lane. Ray the trucker gets a wild hair and moves into the left lane, and rather than slowing down to give her the good natured salute, the left lane people move from the left lane to the right lane at 90 MPH and colide with Betty Sue whose minding her own business on the way to her grandkids school play.

Betty Sue is largely shaken, but fine, the left lane driver meanwhile has spun completely out of control as a result of the collision and their car ends up in a fence like 50 feet off the road. Ray the Trucker keeps on driving like nothing happened.
