CMU just lost 2 of our better players in Rubio and Butler

WMU - Sophomore Seth Hubbard in the portal. Big loss.

Miami just lost our entire sophomore class with Ryan Maybrey and Jacquel Morris entering the portal.

We should retitle this thread as the "Inevitable but Nonetheless Depressing 2024 MAC Men's Basketball Transfer Portal". Ah, life in the mid-majors! Sucks, don't it!

I'm not sure Akron will, but that's only because the team is mostly all seniors. The MAC might actually be weaker next season.

Trouble in the way that we lost 2/3 of our best players, 29 ppg, and 2 All MAC Defenders on a (already) bottom 50 defense in the country, within 4 hours. Would doubt Dante Maddox wants to stick around with a bunch of freshman and Andre Lorentsson, the cupboard is even more empty than it was last year when we graduated a lot of guys and RayJ portaled. So, in that way, troubling yes.

Interesting ... Cockran and Moss are essentially the two guys UT fans say need to be replaced by bigger/taller players.

Cochran was an all-defensive and 2nd team MAC player. He's a loss whether Toledo fans want to admit it or not. He was literally the only player keeping Toledo in the game vs NIU just a couple weeks ago.

Exactly. To act otherwise is a cope, he kept us in and won us games, forced countless turnovers and was a huge net positive. Losing him and Moss, objectively, hurts.
