We are going to be competitive from the get-go. Better get ready, NEC.

I fully expect Chicago State to make it to the NCAA in volleyball, unless the team is much worse than it has been or simply plays bad in the conference tournament and gets upset. I don’t think it will be worse, but assuming it’s around the same level I think the chances are very high they’ll win it.

I think Chicago will be #1 in the preseason poll. All of the coaches can see Chicago States RPI is well above theirs, even if they haven’t ever met on the court yet. And they know none of them get selected for the volleyball NIT.

One interesting thing I noticed in the Mercyhurst announcement- it say they are being admitted as full members. In the same press release, it stated that Chicago State was also admitted as a full member.

Perhaps Chicago State is a full and permanent member? Based on the wording, it’s possible. It could also mean full, as in for all sports, versus just a single sport.
