Your list looks a little different than the list at "Dave Campbell's Texas Football". They claim it's:

Luke Adams
Brian Burg ("analyst" ?? at Ole Miss)
Clif Carroll (HC at D3 Mary Hardin-Baylor)
Josh Newman (Interim HC at Pacific, matches your Clue 3) and
Vinay Patel (HC at D2 Angelo State)


On your other clues:
Kenya Crandell would satisfy both Clue 3 and Clue 4, and I would be glad to see him or Jai Steadman (Clue 4) back.

Clue 5....Brandon Espinoza?

Clue 2 no clue. Wild ass guess Donte Johnson of Grambling? Outranks the others, but not sure he'd consider us a step up.

All the evidence that I have gathered is what felt what happened at the presser of the Southland.... a move two decades over due!
