X man is back
I know this is posted in another thread, but this deserves its own thread.

- the guy has been one of my favorites since last year
- high energy, culture + attitude
- assumed the pg responsibilities this year and performed well
- took the pg responsibilities from Green yet Green maintained his positive attitude, which says a lot about X and Green
- X staying sends a signal and endorsement of PS & JMU
- i believe he can develop into an all SBC player

I hope this leads to Amadi, Horton and the HS recruits staying put as well as attracting some strong transfers.

Way to go X man!

RE: X man is back
one of my favorites as well. I love his defensive intensity.
(It didn't hurt I had a chance to meet his cousins at the ODU game his Freshman year and they seemed pretty awesome as well)

His shot was streaky this past year. With more playing time, much like Edwards as he progressed, I think his offense will start to match his defense.

Yeah, I love guys who play that with that intensity. Also, if you remember his freshman year, before he was the defensive stopper, he flashed as the best ball handler/passer on the team. So happy he is back.

I like Xavier more and more as the season progressed. He's a great fit here and could take a giant leap forward with us next year.

RE: X man is back
I met his father at the tournament this year. Good man! He has done a great job raising X.

When you meet the families of these players and get to know them on a more personal level, it makes giving to the Duke Club easy.

Glad to have X back. I think he went in the portal because he didn’t know who his coach would be and it made sense to test the waters. He came out so quickly that it makes me feel like JMU was his first choice but he wanted to meet the coach before making a final decision. I respect that he wanted to keep his options open too. When a coach leaves it’s reasonable for the players to look at their options as well.

Nation, I agree with everything you’re saying here. We sat in front of his family at the Ole Dirty game in Ole Dirty’s home town (the conference game) and had the pleasure of interacting with and meeting them. And when he drove the lane and threw one down with authority we went wild… nice family, positive vibes all around and you see it in their son.

What's not to love about this Kid!
met some relatives as well, and same experience.
he'll be the new fan favorite and i am betting he feeds off that going into next season Work Hard in the offseason X, your time to shine is soon!
