Back to women. Tenn's coach getting fired for her performance? If/when the women's tournament moves to neutral sites, and the bluebloods lose their favorable crowds/officiating, their days in the sun will be numbered. The days of the Pat Summits, Dawn Staleys and Genos are passing. Their fans better come to grips with it. ODU is never getting back to their glory days without ultra rich donors backing the program.

It's been what, a decade plus now since they've been in the tournament even?

And a Nancy Lieberman type isn't walking through the door to play or coach unless you give her a wheel barrow full of cash. Even then, there's no guarantee of success.

Arkansas was able to put up $8M a year so it's not like he's taking a big pay cut. Plus, cats fans have wanted him gone for year's now and it's hard to argue that his teams haven't underperformed in March for at least half a decade.

I actually think this is a bad move for the Razorbacks. Potentially the move revitalizes Cal but I think he's checked out for the most part at this point.

Not a Cal fan, but I think this will revitalize him as a coach at least for a few years. It's kind of like when a guy gets divorced and starts going back to the gym and getting in shape so I think for at least a few years he will get the Razorbacks going.

It had to be grinding to coach at UK.

It's a grind for everyone. The Tennessee women had South Carolina beat in the SEC tournament. The USC center banked in a last second 3 from the top of the circle to get the win. Only her 3rd trey attempt of the year. UT loses and put the last nail in the coach's coffin.
