Canisius to hire Jim Christian
Apparently he's currently associate athletic director for basketball at Kent State. I think I'd rather have that job. Canisius doesn't even pretend to care about being a competitive program anymore.

He also doubled as an assistant coach for Kent. Obviously basketball is what he's passionate about. He's going to the MAAC so it's not like any of those other are committing tons of resources to athletics. Mid-major basketball seems to be more his speed.

Canisius has a new president who is committed to building a competitive athletic program, obviously on Canisius's/MAAC level, not Kentucky's. It is rolling out its NIL program later this week/next week, and that should help considerably.
There are a ton of Canisius grads in the WNY area. Getting them re-engaged will be a big task, but if the Griffs do start winning, the program can take off and be very competitive at its level.
