Everytime I see it, I can never turn it off. Definitely a good musical. I would never rent it, but its cool when you see it randomly on TV.

One of my all time favs too. We have the video and a video of a recent Australian production of the show!! Boy has wanted to portray Judas since he first saw it 6 years ago. He may get his chance as his High School is staging a production this fall. Auditions are in two weeks! Keep fingers crossed for a perfect Senior year wish-come-true show!!

A great movie and even better soundtrack. Ted Neely has an awesome voice. I remember the first time I saw the move - it was easy to watch him and believe he was really JC. I got to meet him when he came to Baltimore for their show at the Lyric. He's a scrawny little guy with a thick Texan accent. He still looked like JC, only in jeans and cowboy boots.

Damn! Wish I had seen this sooner

I missed JCS, but I came across Godspell on AMC today as well. I kept thinking how much one of the disciples (the cute one with the giant 'fro) looked like Drew Nicholas ... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" /> . Anyway, when I was a very small child (circa 1971-1972), my older sister had the cast album and she absolutely played it to death. That, and anything by Carole King or Joan Baez.

Anyway, AMC's had a nice little rock-movie festival all weekend long. Very early this morning, they were showing The Song Remains The Same (Led Zeppelin concert film). Last year they had a similarly themed festival, off which I recorded Tommy (the film based on The Who's rock opera) and Head (the Monkees' film). Of course, a year ago AMC wasn't splitting their films up with a commercial break at the midpoint, which really sucks.

UDC-wanna a copy of the movie? PM me.

AMC claims that no one has complained about their commercial breaks and they will continue. Boo! Hisssssss! Guess my name is "no one" cause I sent an e-mail and complained BIG. I hardly watch AMC now. TCM has taken my TV prisoner (when there is not a football game on.)

Also one of few outlets where one can catch films from the silent era -- a particular fascination of mine.
