Who is checking out Batman this weekend? - PirateTreasureNC - 07-18-2008 12:39 PM

I got my tickets for a 7:30pm show tonight!

But I must say... when I went up there...their 12am show.... of which they only had one..... sold so many tickets they added 4 more auditoriums for that midnight show. Color me impressed.

Holy f'n $&#^ Batman!!!!!!!

And that's all I'm gonna say about that right now

saw it, did not like it at all. There were about a million subplots, which muddled the whole thing. it was overbearing and felt even longer than it was.

QFT... that sh* was intense.

FOLKS....it is now a legit debate... Nicholson's Joker or Ledgers's ...and right now....I am not sure if I could choose one over the other!

Swoosh.... while I don't agree with your opinion about the movie as a whole ..... I do agree that it was long...and had a lot of subplots to work out.... they ..ummm no spoilers..... but .... Harvey Dent is more key to the story that I was lead to belive by the commercials.

dent was too key to the story. That just muddled it more.

BTW, i think the acting was incredible (ledger was amazing), the plots were interesting and the special effects and technology were great, but it was just so overbearing. The guy from the wall street journal made a good point when he said, the movie didn't built up to a climax, every scene was a climax. It was suffocating.

this movie was amazing. everything about it just left me on the edge of my seat. I remember seeing X-Men 3 and having 5 jaw dropping moments. In The Dark Knight, I had at least 7 jaw dropping moments. I knew Harvey was going to be a key component of the of the twist in the movie, but did not expect what happened with him. *spoiler alert* I honestly thought they may have him survive and come back for a 3rd movie, which may still happen.

I've seen this movie once, now I'm going to watch it again on Saturday and see what parts I may have missed in the first viewing.

For the record, I was cautiously optimistic when I went to see this movie. I had heard about the performance Heath had given as The Joker, but I was blown away by his performance. He may have been the best villian to have ever graced the big screen. Simply amazing performance by Heath.

x3 was ok.... too many heroes and villians in it to keep it moving. But x1 and x2 were pretty good.
