Though nothing has been made official through the university, Stanford defensive backs coach Clayton White is expected to be named to Western Kentucky football coach Willie Taggart’s staff as the team’s defensive coordinator, a source told the Daily News.
A formal announcement could come as early as next week.
White spent the last three seasons as a defensive backs coach for the Cardinal. He held the same position at Western Michigan and Western Carolina in stops prior to that.
A former standout linebacker at North Carolina State, White had stops with the New York Giants (2001-02) and Tampa Bay Bucs (2003) in the NFL.
We’ll have more on this one as it becomes official.
