4 Nationally televised games - (sweet!) including the finale on Thankgiving Day against your Scarlet Knights, mojo!

Lookin' forward to it! Should be a great beginning for the New Big East!

- JoltinJacket - 03-17-2004 01:22 AM

I wouldn't be surprised if the game with Tech is picked up by ESPN or a local network once we get into the season. It will probably depend on both of us having solid records...

- RUmojo - 03-18-2004 08:58 PM

Yes, nationally televised but I'll be there in person. There is nothing better than watching a Huskies beat down in person... 04-rock

How would you know? You guys haven't beaten us yet! 03-wink

- RUmojo - 03-19-2004 07:21 PM

RU leads the series 16-7. You guys won the last two, but by no means do you own us...see you on turkey day...

I can't believe UCONN kept a home game against Buffalo and a game at Western Michigan (both MAC teams), but they backed out and paid off the contract with Toledo that would have had UCONN coming to Toledo in 2004 and Toledo going to UCONN in 2005.

Why would you back out on Toledo but keep two other MAC teams?

UConn played Buffalo and WMU last year - probably had to fulfill the remainder of those contracts.

The whole Big East-ACC situation accelerated UConn's Big East entry fron 2005 to 2004 - I'm sure that played a role in backing out of Toledo's contract.

UCONN has a football team? It's news to me.

They could have bought out the remainder in those contracts if they really wanted.

As for the 1 year acceleration....all that did was mean that both games in the contract with Toledo would have been with UCONN as a Big East school instead of just the 2nd game.

Can I bump this?

Washington has to have the WORST football program I have ever seen. The recruiting is terrible, fan support is terrible..lord, it took UConn 2 years of Division 1-A football to overtake them. Grats UW, for winning the "we aspire to be like Duke" award.

- bitcruncher - 04-10-2006 09:07 PM

I look forward to UConn competing for the Big East football championship with WVU. It can't happen soon enough. The Big East needs all the football powers it can get. I think 7 or 8 wins is easy this year. It will be hard for the Huskies to knock the Mountaineers off the top of the mountain though. You might as well be playing West Virginia in Morgantown this year. Don't even think about winning. Good luck. You're going to need it.

- uconnbaseball - 04-18-2006 02:22 PM

:) Oh come on, our D is ready.

Our O-line is holding us back. With a weak schedule UConn could go 9-3 again but the big uglies can't either open up holes for the RB's or pass block. Our #1 defensive unit is the best they'll get to play against this year though, so it is too early to panic.

Bump again, the washington poster on this board is a dork!

And it seems he wont come back to back talk more smack either Bball. Oh well. Come on out and see us at the Rent Husky Jr, get some of the real thing and you might just change your mascot. Maybe something in a poodle would suit your little program.

HAHA.

They know our football would beat them by 30+ so they tried to get us in basketball...they played at their best...we played one of ur worst games of the season...we still won.

Their athletic program is a joke.

- uconnbaseball - 10-02-2006 11:05 AM

*our

We'd maul them in baseball and women's basketball. Why have an athletics program, UDUB?

That Washington guy posted that message 2 1/2 years ago - I don't think he's coming back. :chillpill:

Oh, I know. Just having a little bit of fun is all.
