Why can't either of them just say it like it is? "The oil prices are directly affected by the companies who sell them. We are pushing up production in our lands, and they exist to profit. Prices will go up, and it's not because of a lack of oil" is much simpler and easier to understand than skirting around the issue.

Romney's performance similar to last debate - he's doing fine. I think Obama is doing much better this time though. It will be interesting to see factcheck.org afterwards because both of these guys can't be right at the same time.
