no bragging from this Golden Eagle just was a good night for us against a team that just had a very bad night. I doubt Marshall will play another game like it for a very long time.

It was either in Eustachy's first or second year, but Louisville came to Hattiesburg and absolutely dismantled the Golden Eagles on ESPN. I know they scored 100+ and we didn't break 60. Pretty sure it was when UofL had Francisco Garcia and Co.

Marshall hasn't reach NCAA tournament since they played in the Southern Conference. The better recruiting hasn't materialized in CUSA. They still got bottom of the MAC talent in hoops. Always got size but they can't play a lick of basketball.

Herrion used those two bigs down low for about 3.425 minutes then must have gone "****..that ain't working" and I never saw them again.
What good is a 7'2 kid if he can't rebound and gets bodied out under the bucket by a guy giving up seven inches?

The "talent" comment is baseless as plenty of great nationally ranked recruits have been here and are here while we've been in CUSA. This seasons trainwreck hasn't been the norm in awhile. So yea we haven't made the NCAAs since 1987 but the rest of your post is falsehoods.

I remember that Davidson game back in the 90's where Sidney Coles got hurt in the first few minutes, and Davidson beat us in a similar fashion (by 54 I think) when Billy Donovan was our coach.

Marshall has talent, but their trouble is elsewhere. Walking out the tunnel on my way out two players were in a colorful cursing duel with each other, calling each other and the coaches losers. I hope they get it straightened out because we need them to be good in all sports.
