If they're playing in "The Pit", I'd have to give the slight edge to New Mexico, they play superhuman basketball on their home court. But, Memphis has proven to be consistent "road warriors", if anyone could come into Albuquerque and knock off the Lobos, it would be Memphis. Now, if the game's in the FedEx Forum, no way do I bet against the Tigers in front of their home fans.
Wouldn't mind seeing those two meet in the Big Dance in March.

I was thinking the same thing Matrix. A lot of this would depend on where the game was played in my opinion. New Mexico, and the MWC as a whole, look pretty solid this year. I'd give NM the edge if they played out west, and Memphis the edge if they played anywhere else.

I would have loved to have gotten a shot at Memphis this year. Not going to make any bold predictions on a hypothetical situation, but if there was ever going to be an entertaining game with quality ball played from both sides this would have been the year.

Memphis vs UNM would be a good matchup and could happen in the tournament. Would love to see it but I have no clue which team would win. Probably would be very close.

Slight edge to Memphis. If they played 10 games under those conditions I'd say Memphis wins 6 and Lobos win 4

i will say, early in the season nm might have won. the way memphis is playing right now they beat them like a rented mule.
Memphis as a team is playing better right now than at any time under Cal.

Memphis is the most athletic team in the country. If NM runs, the edge goes to memphis.
