OT: Is James Madison the most dangerous 16-seed ever? - C2__ - 03-21-2013 12:13 AM

Regardless of their profile, I find it hard to believe that a team from the CAA, which produced Mason and VCU Final Four teams in recent years, is one of the worst in the field. Do you think they'll give more of a tussle than your average 16-seed?

Not on paper they aren't. I will say that given the lack of a truly dominant team, that this year has as good a chance for a 16-1 upset as any other ever has.

Liberty was the only truly lousy 16-seed this year.

For some reason I don't think this is the year for it... but on the other hand, KU is a 1-seed and they lost earlier this year to a TCU team that is a lot worse than JMU.

James Madison did well to win their first game since 1983 or so. Not sure how dangerous they are.
JMU has a pretty good team and anything can be possible.

No. I don't even think they're the most dangerous in this year's field. I'd give that to WKU.

Or Southern. Or maybe it's that Gonzaga can't just outtalent people. But the CAA is traditionally a good league so it's not as if I was off the mark badly by asking the question.

We may have lost by 21 points. But the way we supported our seniors and team till the end was something special. JMU fans captured the hearts of Dayton and fans of other schools because of our support and chants-"Thank You Seniors," "Andre Nation," "Devon Moore," and "JMU, JMU," it was a special last 5 minutes.
