Looking forward to this matchup on FS1. I hope ECU has a great crowd so the atmosphere shows up good.
I think my Owls lose, but we'll be competative.
Out of the QB shuffle expect Quez Johnson (#12) to start. Hankerson (#6) has a bruised rib, but he did take all his reps today. Hankerson is being groomed for the future I think.

East Carolina unveiled new all-black Nike game uniforms during a team meeting at the Ward Sports Medicine Building Sunday night and the Pirate Nation is encouraged to participate in the promotion, which will include additional color-themed elements in the stadium on game day for the nationally-televised contest."

Can't believe this isn't a thread yet, seeing as how we play TOMORROW night!
I look for ECU to score a lot of points, and don't think FAU is bringing nearly the offense that ODU did.
ECU should win comfortably. Should look good doing it...in BLACK!
We've already welcomed ODU to C-USA... time for FAU to receive their's as well.

It should be an interesting night in Greenville to say the least. Word is the students are fired up for a Thurs night game, New Uniforms, Blackout, it will be warm and Thurs has always been $1 night in Greenville...game will end around 11 which will set up for long night for the PoPo in downtown Greenville.
Hope the offense continues their stellar play and the new DC corrects the play from last Sat.

FAU has never faced East Carolina, let alone played in a Conference-USA game.
Thursday night, that will all change when the Owls travel to Greenville, N.C. to face the Pirates in the program's inaugural C-USA contest.
Emotions will certainly be running high, but the team's focus is clear. Senior captain Andrew Stryffeler, who has a grasp of the locker room, believes the Owl's are taking the right approach towards ECU.
"We're going to treat this game like we do every game," the defensive end said after Tuesday's practice. "As far as playing in a bigger conference and on national television, we certainly have a little bit more pep in our step than before."
Stryffeler is one of just two players on FAU's roster from the state of North Carolina, and was recruited by the Pirates coming out of high school. He claims that over half of his graduating class enrolled ECU, and that he is no stranger to the environment at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.

LeBlanc's return couldn't come soon enough for the Owls, who will face one of the conference's best passing attacks in Week Two. ECU put up 52 points on Old Dominion last Saturday, with QB Shane Carden establishing school single-game records for passing yards (447) and completions (46) in the contest.
"They're a multiple WR set, so we're going to get as many skill players on the field as we can to match them," defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis said of the Pirates. "He adds depth into our secondary and we're going to need that when you play an up-tempo offense with a lot of snaps — you need as many guys you we can."
