Both Sparty and Big Blue fall respectably in the GLI to Michigan Tech and Western Michigan in overtime defeats. Sparty is awarded a tie officially but for the tourney purposes lost. Sparty and Big Blue face tomorrow at 3:30 in the 3rd place game at Comerica Park on FSN-Detroit.
MSU-Tech game was a goalie battle to the end while UM-WMU was a hard hitting intensity filled game that was loaded with one sided penalties against WMU.
