The other one wasn't giving me any HUGE issues except occasionally taking a long time to record a post

It was starting to hide posts when pages where turned. That is the end of the long threads around here.

Anywho, where does MLS stack up to the European leagues?

Somewhere below Ligue 1

The last thread was so large. I just want to have a post at the beginning of this one. I did watch the Women's soccer team from time to time my freshman year.

Only 100 pages (disclaimer: I set my viewing mode to 50 posts/page) - we've definitely had longer soccer threads

Unless you just absolutely must, don't waste your time with it.

MLS is a bigger deal on the West Coast than it is in the Eastern and Central time zones because they have to wake up so much earlier out there to catch European soccer.

???? There is a different soccer culture out here. It has nothing to do with the time that European soccer is on TV. And for the record, I supported MLS when there wasn't a team within 5 states of me.

Tapatalk spam, page turn issue came back up, Tapatalk taking a while to process posting new post, etc

We also had longer threads cause we thought the page turn issue would fix itself. Now that we know it doesn't and can't be fixed it's best to make a new thread then dealing with it.

I've noticed it too, but what it it about the culture that makes them enjoy such dreadful soccer?

I've been to a couple Dynamo games, and had a decent time, but when I try to watch it on TV, I want to gouge my eyes out.

There are a lot of soccer fans in the Eastern half of the US - just as many as the west coast - but MLS doesn't get as much traction because it is more convenient to become more emotionally invested in the European leagues than it is on the west coast. Hence you have responses like Kronke's. And you have the fact that Philly and Kansas City are called great soccer towns for putting 18,000+ plus in their stadiums game in and game out while to Seattle and Portland that seems like a no-brainer.

I've been a Dallas Burn/FC Dallas fan since the inception of the league. But I'm not emotionally tied into it the way I am into my European teams.

In many metros on the East Coast, there are small clubs that are a lot more interesting to go to than MLS. Detroit City FC is an NPSL club, and I think most of the supporters would rather go to matches there than to Columbus or Chicago, and not because of driving distance. It's because you can let off smoke bombs, act rowdy and create a fun environment that is about being a supporter. A lot of MLS is made for TV, family friendly nonsense in the stands. Additionally, I think a lot of the hard core supporters in the east are for USMNT, not clubs.

For context, a story about one of the three DCFC supporter groups, the Northern Guard Supporters.

I'm pretty sure Borini just threw out a fascist salute after scoring that penalty.

Dream results so far. Scum, Spurs, and Everton all down 1-0.

LOLdado still providing the LOLs this morning. Launches one out the stadium from 3 yards out and then has a chance, and rather than take it, dribbles himself out of play.
