So it might be to clean house, it might be a routine meeting planned long ago, or it might be about how to pay off the old coach and hire a new one.
I don't think they have the cash to be paying too many people off while hiring quality replacements. Stay tuned...

Tired of hearing about money as a reason to not fire incompetent employee(s).
You were willing to spend 100 Million to expand the stadium, but now you aren't willing to buyout a terrible coach for 1.4 million?

If Kyle isn't gone next year, I am. I'm not renewing and donating to watch that abortion of a football program. Spending a Saturday getting drunk in a dirt lot and watching bad football was fun back in my twenties. Now, I have too many other things to do than waste time in P'way. I was going to pull the plug a couple of years ago when it looked like we were relegated to the Big American. But then the BIG came along and I decided to give it a couple more years, just so I could see some real football programs roll through here. Welp, those two years are up and we look as bad as ever.
So they're gone or I am.

Julie got a raw deal though, never was given the resources to even try to put together a winning program and Flood was forced into her lap.
So happy Flood is gone.

The donors had started to warm up to her, but as far as industry people go (read as sports media, coaches, etc.) she was about as unpopular as it gets.

The next part has been chewed over many times within Rutgers’ administrative circles: Upon reading about the voicemail, Barchi’s head exploded. His office’s instructions to Hermann had been simple: Explain to LeGrand that he still would be a speaker, just not the speaker.
That the wrong message was communicated and, worse yet, done via voicemail only — plus the aftermath that a vexed LeGrand could not get Hermann to return his call — served as the tipping point for Barchi. It was the moment when he finally realized Hermann could not do the job. He might have been the last person in New Jersey to arrive at that conclusion.

Not really. When you have prominent members of the BOG questioning the hire immediately, you have big issues. Who knows if the other candidate would have been a home run hire, but you never know.

Not really. When you have prominent members of the BOG questioning the hire immediately, you have big issues. Who knows if the other candidate would have been a home run hire, but you never know.

I'll reserve judgment on that for now, but its nice to finally have a person who sounds like a leader, who sounds competent and sounds as though they have a vision that can be articulated. That's a good start. The fact that Hobbs is so well politically connected, hopefully can get us some state money towards the badly needed facilities overhaul.

With Herman gone I'll start my annual $25 dollar Alumni Gift up again and Rutgers can put it in the fund to rehab the RAC or put more seats in the FB stadium. They better start selling the corners of the student section first so they are filled with people instead of empty aluminum benches. Went to a couple of game this year as I always do and the student section was pathetic. Go Rutgers.
