In the books the Blackfish surrenders river run to Jamie Lannister and the Freys. Then he vanished by swimming under the moat and is missing..I knew he'd have to come up for air at some point..
Cheers!

That is true. He was one of my favorite characters in the books and on the show. I really do hope he is back, but I am always wary of Littlefinger. Maybe he hooked up with the Brotherhood without Banners? Maybe they decided to bring in Lady Stoneheart after all, and they are all together? It's so weird to have hopes and dreams related to this show again. I assume this feeling will be eradicated Sunday night around 10 03-lol
Hahaha...we all know that the Hound will end up fighting for the Faith vs his brother the Mountain (Cersi). The Mountain vs the Hound will be the most epic fight in history!
Cheers!
It'll be hard to top The Mountain vs. The Viper, that head popping like a zit had to be one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen on a show.

We've pieced it together. There's a great big beast wandering the country side who was a killer before he was re born in the light of the seven. He has been accompaning the sparrows preaching the word. He's believed to be Sandor Clegane, The Hound. His brother Gregor Clegane, the Mountain is believed to be the Queen Cersi's Champion, Ser Robert Strong. There will most certainly be another Mountain vs Vipor fight to determine Cersi's guilt or innocence before the gods and people.
Cheers!

Yes. Crazy thing was is that the Vipor, Oberan Martell had him beat. He got too cocky and got squashed.
Cheers!

There is better evidence that Gregor is Robert Strong than Sandor is the mysterious warrior, but yeah I do not think we have seen the end of the Hound quite yet.

I agree that seeing the Hound as a champion of the Church vs. Strong/Mountain as a champion of the crown in a trial by combat would be epic, but the show seems to be leaning more towards a full style engagement between Lannisters and/or Tyrell's armies and the Faith Militant. It will be interesting to see how it all works out.

For a guy with no shoes, the High Sparrow sure does know how to kick some ass. Outplaying everyone in the game now

So Benjen IS coldhands?
Martin denied this to the editor of the books.

Yeah. It appears he is. (On the show)

Was out of town, so didn't watch until last night. Wasn't a fan of Episode 6, I was hoping for a big confrontation with the church and the crown, but I guess the sparrow outmaneuvered the Lannister/Tyrell contingent. The Benjen reappearance was cool I guess, and I look forward to the Arya/Waif confrontation now that she's on the run, but this episode was a let-down. In fairness, the mind-**** of the Hodor reveal from the week before probably meant #6 would be somewhat of a disappointment regardless.

Which was the bigger "WTF ARE YOU DOING?" moment of Ep 6 - Arya knocking the poison out of the actress's hand, or Sam taking Heartsbane (the big sword)? I am leaning more towards Sam.

I would say Sam too

Sam the Slayer has finally found a weapon worthy of him

I got all excited when I watched the season preview, thinking there was going to be chaos when that fight were to break out.
More mind games being played with that story line. You think the king is going to get butt hurt once he finds out he was tricked by his wife?
Think the High Sparrow knows its a trick?

Ehh with Sam I'm sure he can get away. Arya on the other hand... I just thought wow you stupid *****. Good thing she learned how to fight blind folded I guess. She needs to keep that candle blown if she wants to have a chance against the waif.

Sorry for bringing math into this, but here's a math equation:

Hound + being generally pissed off all the time * hate^revenge = a bad time to be a Brother without a Banner.

The Hound is back just like expected! And he's gonna kick some a$$!
Cheers!

Now I'm going to have to go back and read the books again to see where I missed that! I loved the Hound, the gruff exterior with a heart made of... well, not quite gold, but something shiny and expensive nonetheless. Silver? Ruby?

It's not explicitly stated that it's the Hound in the books as I recall, but it's not too difficult to surmise when he comes back either.

From reading the books, I got the feeling that it was Rorge (one of the guys in the burning cart with Jaqen in Season 2) wearing the Hound's armor and helmet. Really though, I'm just looking for an excuse to read the books again.
