ECU v TU Predictions - rabidTU2 - 11-03-2016 12:57 PM

From what i've seen, ECU is a better team than I thought before the season started. But they still should be a win for us. We are scoring in droves and I assume ECU won't be any different. We're at home, coming off a big win with momentum, the opponent has a losing record. Everything points to a win this week. So:

TU 45

ECU 24

See you at the game!

Well, I won't be able to see this game not to mention attend it. Gotta take care of best man duties at my cousin's wedding. But I'm ok with that! I think we take care of business in this one and keep rolling.

Tulsa - 55

ECU - 35

Congrats to the bride and groom.

The game will be on an ESPN station if you have cable or satelite. I have Direct TV and its on channel 207. I record most of the games to view again. I have watched the Memphis game 3 times now. :)

I think it will be closer than I thought earlier in the year......Tulsa 48-ECU 38......they have a better passing game than we do.....hopefully our running game slows them down!!!

I hope we get rid of the black and white uniforms......where the heck they came from, I don't know.......I know at Baylor they wore all kinds of uniforms, some really unusual......but I don't know where, blue, gold and I guess red, although, I never heard of red when I was at TU, turned into black and white, with the ugliest helmets ever, black with blue writing you can't even see.

RE: ECU v TU Predictions - rabidTU2 - 11-05-2016 04:29 PM

I assume that comes from the new uniform sponsor. Who did we change to? Maybe addidas.

I guess they have a lot of control over the uniforms.

Vanderbilt had on exactly the same uniform and helmet today!!!!!

Yes, we gained many more uniform options in a MUCH better deal for the university when we switched to Adidas.

As for your complaint about red... it's in the fight song: "gold, blue, and red, go right ahead. Down the field to victory!"

I personally don't care what they wear as long as they are playing well and it's not a distraction for the team.

If you want to complain about something, the attendance issue is a substantially bigger issue. We need to find a way to get more people in the stadium instead of whining about uniforms.

RE: ECU v TU Predictions - jfisher - 11-06-2016 10:32 AM

You're right about attendance.......and what seems funny is, if we are undefeated or have a terrible team, we have the same attendance. They need to fire the marketing company who is promoting TU.

RE: ECU v TU Predictions - rabidTU2 - 11-06-2016 10:53 AM

There are a lot of underlying problems that force attendance down rather than up, but the most glaring to me is the local media and their mindset. We have this great school in town that doesn't compromise its academic standing, runs a clean and well respected program that isn't "thug university" like so many otthers, and yet the media (we know who you are), just covers us like an after-thought. The one that is most disgusting is the TW, that was once run by a family with close ties to TU, yet allowed it to become what it is today. Were they deaf, blind or just asleep? I have however noticed that Channel 6 is becoming a bit more TU friendly. Thats an improvement, but of course the first poor season we have, its probably back to "ignore"ance. But thank goodness we have the respect of the conference and national media as a slight offset. As long as we put competitive teams on the court and field, they give us our due.
