- andycapp - 03-18-2004 01:03 PM It's going to make a few people  but I predicted the bad year our Hoosiers had ... maybe it's my fault Soon after MD took over as head coach I was instantly reminded of Ohio State's debacle with Randy Ayers. While I have a REALLY hard time comparing a quality guy like Davis to someone like Ayers there is a striking similarity... they both recruit REALLY well but their coaching qualities are suspect. OSU had Jimmy Jackson, a morally bankrupt version of Jerred Jeffries, that Ayers recruited BEFORE he became head coach (sound familiar ) and after he left OSU's program went down the toilet. Does this mean that since Jeffries is no longer with us that our program will go down the toilet? I dunno, have we got anyone even remotely that good coming up that can compensate for Davis' lack of coaching skills. Answer this question: can ANYTHING good be said of this past season - give me a BREAK :chair: - we not only are NOT going to ANY tournament, we had a LOSING SEASON. One more even remotely resembling this one and MD has got to go. - cbfranchise3 - 03-18-2004 10:46 PM Give Mike a chance, he has the capabilities of being a good coach. Just hope that he doesnt become Billy Donovan, get to the NCAA Finals once, then be overrated the rest of his career. |
