Chicago State lands 3-star guard Kezo Brown, a local from Simeon HS. Huge get!!!! Wow.
No VC profile, but a 3 star on ESPN and 24/7. 2 star on Scout. Had offers from Nebraska, Bradley, and DePaul.

Really good pickup. A little surprising since Chicago State University has struggled on and off the court.

I always hate when players commit too early. There is a lot of time between now and NLI day (in early November).

Very nice pickup! Simeon is about 3 miles from Chicago State. Tracy Dildy has also made an offer to a teammate of Brown's. The teammate is also rated 3 stars.
The state budget crisis in Illinois ended last week. Chicago State is going to receive $23 million owed them from last fiscal year plus $35 million for this fiscal year. They will also receive some capital improvement funding. The state of Illinois will also be releasing $400 million in monetary assistant grants to schools in Illinois.
The funding will help Chicago State and other schools in Illinois slowly get back on their feet. As Brown just showed, it will also help recruiting of local athletes.

Will be fun to see if he sticks with CSU. He picked CSU over two local schools UIC DePaul and a big 10 school in Nebraska.

Last I heard he is still committed to CSU, and plans to redshirt his freshman year. A lot can change still but I hope to see him in a Cougars uniform.
