Now we are watching Tin Shield on Amazon. We are about half way through and it is very good.

If you haven't watched Stranger Things, you should try it. It is somewhat for kids but has enough suspense to keep the attention of adults.

Loved Stranger Things. It reminded me a lot of the older stuff that Steven Speilburg did. Apparently the brothers that wrote it are both huge Speilburg fans.

Anxious for the next seasons of Peaky Blinders and WestWorld.

Starting episode 4 of Godless. Fantastic. Jeff Daniels is chilling.

Agreed. Hate that Godless is a one season deal. It was a great show IMO.

Peaky Blinders season 4 was great. Action packed.

I may have to check out Godless. Currently I'm watching The Toys That Made Us, which is pretty interesting if you're into documentaries. The first episode was on the Star Wars toys and Kenner Toys out of Cincinnati. The second episode was about Barbie and Mattel, and actually had some interesting stuff about its background (who knew Barbie was based on a German Hooker doll toy, and its co-creator was a sex and drug addict?).

Not too long ago, I watched Bright on Netflix, and I'm still trying to figure out if it was good or utter trash. It was interesting, I'll grant you that.

And while I know we're talking about TV shows, I got to see a few movies during the holidays and loved Baby Driver. I'm thinking it's an intellectual Fast and the Furious (not that it would take much to make that genre intellectual). Great cast, great music, and a lot going on behind the scenes while you're watching it, so it's probably one of those films that is better the second time around.

I posted Tin Shield but the name of the series is Tin Star. Watching the last episode and it is good but turns very dark toward the end.

Thanks for the movie recommendation, I'll have to check that out

"Mr. Robot" is a work of art. I highly recommend it. One of the most under-the-radar shows out right now.

Also Black Mirror season 4 just dropped. It seems like you're either a "Hang The DJ" or "USS McAllister" person this season, but I really liked Black Museum.

Stopped watching Mr. Robot after the first season. It seemed to be looping back into oblivion.

yep...my parents love NCIS, Hawai'i 5-0, and the Good Wife. I gave em the password and they're watching the spin off 'The Good Fight'. They seem to like it.

folks wanna b***h and moan about it being on All-Access but the deal between CBS and Netflix is the only reason the show was green lit in the first place. It's on All-Access in America and Netflix pretty much everywhere else. That deal paid for the entire fist season.

CBS wants NFL, news, and cop shows...they don't want Star Trek on CBS.

It's already been renewed for a season 2 and it's very entertaining.

I've heard good things about it, I just won't pay for a channel just to get the one show.

RE: OT: Best show nobody is watching, pimp away - Fort Bend Owl - 01-05-2018 08:20 AM

You also get exclusive Big Brother content! My girls were into that show a few years back and we got the CBS app for a bit but thankfully they grew out of that phase and I quickly cancelled the service.

Anyone here watch Vikings on History?

It has it's cheesy moments and some bad acting here and there but I like it.

thus why I feel it's the 'Best show nobody is watching'

but if you do wanna watch CBS has a week free thing going. Sign up Sunday when the new episode comes out...spend 7 days binge watching the first 9 episodes...then cancel.

boom! you're up to date on Star Trek Discovery and didn't pay a dime.

But the best show on TV no one is watching is "Billions", hands down.

Best writing, best plots, best twists, best characters, best everything. The dialogue in that show is amazing.

"Suits" would be my second choice only because once Mike's secret was out there, there just isn't that much they can do that hasn't been done. But show has great dialogue/writing, too.
Are these broadcast network programs?

I also paid for CBS All Access. But I watch all the NCIS series + spin-offs and like a few other CBS ones too... so that makes it a little less painful. Plus Discovery is really, really good.
