For those on the bubble, TAMU and Bama both took another hit last night.

It might be time for UMKC to throw in the towel as well.

Wyoming 104, #23 Nevada 103, 2 OT. Nevada's first conference loss.

There really are no good teams this season.

You wonder where the line will be drawn with SEC bids. I can't imagine them getting nine, but, there are (at least) nine teams with some spiffy wins in there. The parity in that conference is ridiculous.

Talking heads might be right if one or more SEC teams are shown the door to the NIT when more flimsy resumes are given NCAAT tickets, especially if those bids are going to mid-majors like WCC, A10 (if Rhodie doesn't win), CUSA, or the AAC.

Nevada probably should've won in regulation. Refs missed a rather obvious foul on their last three, which fell way short and went out of bounds to Wyoming.

With mid-major at-large bids shrinking, you wonder if something like that, if it's true, gets contested with a grievance against officials. There are worse losses to take, and for UNR, the loss is actually a Tier 1 stat now, better than having this happen in Reno, but, I wonder if there isn't some kind of dispute or loss qualifying that is in college basketball's future.

Works for South Carolina, we have a win against Wyoming, who is up to 59 in RPI now.

South Carolina could really help themselves by beating Texas Tech on Saturday, and probably also needs at least 6 more conference wins if they beat TTU and 7 if they don't.

Add another onto the pretenders list with Penn State's wild buzzer-beater upset over the Buckeyes in Columbus.

Arizona State let another one slip by as Utah got one in overtime, on the Sun Devils' home court. Arizona State's flirting with snub territory?

Maybe a rough night for the AAC's bubble teams. SMU lost one in Storrs, but worse was the loss Tulane took at home to the basement dweller, USF. While not an AAC challenger, Tulane dropped 37 spots in the RPI, back toward the bottom tiers; bad win/loss territory. Outside of Wichita and Cincy, the others can't drop off. UCF can lose to a Wichita, but SMU is not doing themselves any favors.

Second straight loss for the Tar Heels.

First time since 1973 that UNC and Duke lost at home on the same day. Miami was the team who gave the Tar Heels that loss btw.

Technically it's a new week but Duke goes down to St. John's. There are no good teams this year.

(20) Michigan 52
Northwestern 61

There are many, many good teams this year.

St. John’s besting Villanova on the road counts, right?

a more important one is Marquette over Seton Hall. Probably costs Seton Hall a seed line at least in the tourney, and gives Marquette a shot at the tourney. Though unlucky for Marquette they get a suddenly hot St John's team on Saturday.
