Looks like the line is the Tribe by 9.
One of the things that make these guys so tough is that pretty much everyone in the starting lineup can have a huge game. Justin Pierce went for 30 the other night but today it could just as easy by Knight, or Cohn like the first game or Burchfield or Milon.
To me some of the keys for us:
Keep Stretch on the floor as much as possible
Have Demir bounce back from the back showing against JMU
Patience on offense
Limit turnovers, especially those that lead to fastbreaks

Tyshawn Myles was dressed but on the bench the other night. If he is healthy, having him on the floor would be key.
For the last 8 minutes of the game, Drexel had Lee, Isabell, Harper, Mojica and Stretch on the floor. I honestly like that lineup to counter what W&M is capable of throwing Drexel's way. Alihan is a great player and I think he deserves minutes today, especially if he gets his shooting settled down but going small against W&M might be our best chance to run with and beat them.
Isabell had a quiet game on thursday and the week before he told Rob Brooks that he was at about 70% because of his groin injury. That is a big concern for me.

easily the most excited i've been during a drexel game in years.
i was about to say in the other thread that i'm not going to get caught up in where we are in the standings, conference tournament seeding, etc. but when has a drexel team shown a knack for pulling out close games? when have we ever blitzed people in the last 2 minutes? if nothing else it's just fun to be competitive and worth watching.
the key play for me was lee's four point play. it came after he missed i think 3 straight terrible shots. i wanted him out of the game...but from that play forward he played within himself and facilitated the offense instead of trying to take on the world himself. he made big shots when the opportunity was there. he didn't force anything.
quick negative note: harper's dunk at the end was garbage. still needs to grow up. i give him credit for the progress he's made...but that stunt at the end tells me we still have work to do.

I find W&M to be a rather showy and arrogant team. I'm OK with him throwing it back in their face with a game ending dunk based on the way that they embarrassed Drexel at the DAC.
Drexel ended their 14 game CAA road losing streak. Ironically, their last CAA road win was at W&M in Bruiser's last regular season game 2 years ago. Drexel also won a road game outside of Philadelphia since beating Quinnipiac in December 2016.
I really enjoyed the Sports Live broadcast tonight. Very professional and much better than listening to homer announcers screaming every time their team scores. Hopefully by next year we'll have games on real TV again.

I also didn't have issues with the last second dunk as that last minute was taking forever and they kept fouling so it was a good way to end it. Also Lee had a very good game I don't recall him making bad shots all game.

Drexel is now in sole possession of 7th place and 1 game out of the 6 spot. If they can somehow figure out how to beat Towson on Thursday, they will be tied with Towson and likely ahead of them based on tiebreakers. Drexel also could be in a 3 way tie with Towson and Elon and be in the 5 seed based on tiebreakers. Today was the 3rd time this season where Drexel beat a team that was in first place at the time of the game. That will go a long way in helping Drexel win some tiebreakers that could help them avoid Sh!tstorm Saturday (my new name to replace Pillowfight Friday).

The scoreboard said everything that needed to be said.
But I do agree that some of their players remind me of the pop singer or movie star in the celebrity game on nba all star weekend who actually thinks he can play. I always have respect for tony shaver though. The names change but the system stays the same.
We such that system down for a change in the second half. Great defense.

Didnt get to tune in but didnt see the explosion in the last several minutes. I think there were like 8 or 9 minutes left and it was 65-63 tribe, then I see the final. Wow. The tribe and their offense is just a bad matchup for our team and our loose defense. This was a much needed road win. Hopefully we can use this confidence and win more road games down the stretch. This win needs to go a long way for this team.

With our win we dropped W&M out of the top 100 RPI. So now our season looks even more drastic.
Top 50: 1-1
51-100: 3-0
101;150: 2-5
150+: 4-8

I have noticed that the guys are starting to play better defense, not all the time but it looks like there is certainly more of an effort. They have given up easy baskets on blown assignments and they still get beat off the dribble too much, but it certainly no longer just OLE out there.

Agreed spearsie. Nobody was buying into defense at all early in the year. Spiker constantly talked about it in his press conferences and until we got healthy it didnt seem like the guys were buying in at all. They definitely seem more eager to play defense and put effort into instead of just focusing on scoring.
