As a cord cutter, I’m not complaining.

We'll make more on our Saturday gate than you will from ESPN and no crowd.

Maximum of 9 weeknight games on the entire schedule vs 31 Saturday games.

But you know those nine weeknight games are all going to be the ones that are put on the actual ESPN channels.

The 31 Saturday games will all be on ESPN+

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if we are 100% Stadium to include Facebook and you are 100% ESPN. No one is going to actively seek us out except the fans of the schools - which is already mostly true for most schools anyway.

I still believe Facebook offers more potential but how long that takes to be realized is unknown. This is unchartered territory and C-USA seems willing to take the risk to grow it with them rather than be marginalized by ESPN. I don't think anyone is oblivious to the fact that our boats are not that different when it comes to the TV situation.

Would you give up one Saturday game to play on Thursday on national TV (real TV)?

We've had that too. MT played Marshall on a Friday night on ESPN2. It outdrew three P5 games on ESPNU and FS1 that weekend and was close (just below) Virginia Tech vs. UNC. We will probably still do a few games a year on ESPN networks just because but frankly if we don't it really doesn't matter and won't hurt my feelings one bit. The TV landscape is changing so much right now everything is a crap shoot. I just don't like being beholden to ESPN particularly where they control all the rights and can stuff you in terrible timeslots.

The better question is are you okay with three Wednesday night games just to be on ESPNU? That's the question you need to be asking. Because that's what's going to happen to the better teams in the Belt. They are going to slot you in bad time slots with your best teams.

They did last year. But it will be interesting to see what they give them this time around. There were obviously no promises to that end disclosed publicly.

If Judy only does one thing for this conference, I hope it's linear network games on CBS/CBS Sports Network & digital streaming on Stadium/Facebook.

But this is Judy, after all.

IF they do get a Thursday game it will be on ESPN News or Classic while competing against the NFL and another college game on ESPN or ESPN2

So, the Sun Belt is essentially getting all there games relegated to a new online ESPN3, but they have to pay $5 a month to view it. They are excited about this why? Sounds like a horrible deal to me. Why don't they just start their own network and keep the money themselves.

ESPN3 is already online, and from what I understand, ESPN+ will replace ESPN3. I'd rather pay $5 and get Sun Belt sports along with MLB, MLS, NHL and whatever else they're trying to put on ESPN+ than buy an overpriced, low quality stream like the Sun Belt's version of CUSA.tv

Strange, App has two Thursday national TV games in 2018...

I didn't know I had to pay for Stadium.
