If you run an ncaa sanctioned 3-point shooting competition and need to be told about Connor Burchfield.... Something is rotten in Denmark. I don't know how the selection works, but it should be for him to turn down. It's not something subjective like the dunk contest. If they pick by anything other than the highest percentage by volume shooters in the country, than it is meaningless.

Conner's fiance tweeted "My money is on @C_Burchfield10 to win @CollegeSLAM 3pt contest!! See ya in Texas!!!!" - Texas is the site of the college 3-point shootout. I'm not sure if it is simply an endorsement or a confirmation.

Saw where Notre Dame has posted a writeup that one time Tribe recruit Matt Farrell made the eight man invite. Wichita State posted that Conner Frankamp is, also, in. ESPN2 is televising it live on March 29th at 7pm est.
Connor's sister just started following CollegeSlam, so, have to believe he is in. If so, would hope Tribe PR is forthcoming like the above.

Will deserve a separate thread if true, but Hofstra athletics site has posted an announcement that Gustys was selected to participate in the Dos Equis 3 X 3 tournament in San Antonio next week. Hofstra message board stated the CAA team in the 32 team event was:
Joe Chealey, G, College of Charleston
David Cohn, G, William & Mary
Rokas Gustys, F/C, Hofstra
Mike Morsell, G, Towson
Couldn't find any other info.
Will be great for David and Connor, if they are both repping in the side events at the Final Four. If both true, Tribe Athletics needs to get the pub out there asap.
