Basketball recruiting - NUGUY - 03-27-2018 09:19 PM

So......now we have two scholarships. It can't be easy to recruit when we are so deep. Guys like Occeus, Brace, Maxime, Murphy and Roland all have at least two years left. Would transfers make sense?

They seem all in on Chatman. The message they seem to be sending him is, "We're not recruiting anyone else." And recruiting a big this year would be easier since two of our current bigs are now seniors. So, how about Sy and a transfer guard recruit this spring?

We definitely need a big man for 2019-2020 (it’s really crazy typing those years, wow).

So he can play with Murphy and that senior class of Occeus, Brace, Max and Jordan.

So......Sy is waiting for something better to come along. Let's move on. Pull the scholarship offer.

According to the Canadian National Scouting Service @NorthPoleHoops ... NU is recruiting 6’9” forward Luke Howard.

He’s from Mississauga, Ontario who’s playing hoops in Tennessee.

We're still in the mix for 6-5 SG AJ Staton from Florida.

AJ and us would be a great match. He cares about academics and would like immediate playing time. We are a top forty or so school and with Roland graduating there is no obvious replacement for him and Coen has a reputation for developing guards. If a deadeye grad two guard comes around that we can't pass on then fine but AJ would solve our problem for more than one year.
