Seriously this is a big one. Yesterday’s DH sweep has us right back in the thick of things at .435 and in a tie for eighth place in the standings. We are one game behind 6th/7th and 1.5 games behind this afternoon’s opponent (In 5th place)

6) FIU 11-12 (FIU has tiebreaker: beat UAB 2/3)

Just for the sake of reference, the final two conference series after this weekend for those teams 5th and lower are.....
UTSA - at ODU, h vs Charlotte
FIU - at WKU, h vs Rice
UAB - h vs Rice, at MTSU
WKU - h vs FIU, at FAU
Rice - h vs UAB, at FIU
MTSU - h vs FAU, h vs UAB
Marshall and ODU have tough schedules (3 of the 4 series they play are against teams in the top 4 currently of the standings), so I'm not even going to worry about them. If they pass us up, we have no chance of making the tournament.

Stacy - lines 0-1 pitch to right-center ... Arias to 3rd. (No error given to Chandler's bobble, as Arias would still have made it to 3rd even with a clean pickup.)
Bowles - strikes out looking on 3 pitches ... and several step-off-look-at-third-then-first fakeouts.
Brookover - runner going ... soft line drive into right-center just over Cruz's leap. He might have caught it, had he not been running over to cover 2nd due to the running going. RBI. Runner to 3rd.
